One would be the time it takes to have a child. The other would be the treatment for "The Big C".
As you most are all aware of by now is that my wife has cancer. She will start a regime of chemotherapy and radiation in the next couple of weeks. Thirty-two years ago we were beginning a family. Both should take less than a year, but her treatments will seem longer.
There are a lot of parallels to experiencing both. You start off with a cell or two, do some magic with the DNA, add a blood supply, and your lives change.
We won't have showers this time, but angels (both on earth and in heaven) will provide us with whatever we need. Our friends and family will pray for us just like they did when our three sons were on the way. Most likely, we will hug each other and cry from time to time when we wish it is next summer.
And, we will hold and comfort each other just like we always have.

Ps 121 "I will lift up my eyes to the hills from whence comes my help? My help comes from the Lord who made haven & earth. He will not allow your foot to be moved, He who keeps you will not slumber. Behold He who keeps Israel shall neither slumber nor sleep. The Lord is your keeper, the Lord is your shade at your right hand. The sun shall not strike you by day, nor the moon by night. The Lord shall preserve you from ALL evil, He shall preserve your soul. The Lord shall preserve your going out & your coming in from this time forth, & even forevermore." Note He shall preserve you from ALL evil.....His word promises that no weapon formed against you will prosper. The weapon "cancer" was formed, but according to God's word He will preserve you all and the weapon shall not prosper....the weapon will not accomplish what it was designed to do...kill steal & destroy. Lift up your eyes unto the hill from whence comes your help Ted & family. Lift up your eyes to the Lord and sing praises like you have never sung before. He shall & will preserve you!
I know a third thing that takes some time...your next blog post. I mean if you're gonna have followers, we need some content.
