The Three Little Pigs & the Bailout

I hope everyone's parents read the story of the "Three Little Pigs" while you were in PJ's. If they didn't, you probably are homeless by now . If they did, I hope you paid attention to the moral of the story and avoided the fate of the "Big Bad Wolf".

Now, with the help of numerous schemes by brokers, bankers, and politicians to get folks into houses that they couldn't afford we are now faced with very uncertain economic times.

Never fear little piggies. It's an election year! It makes no difference whether your house is built from straw, sticks, or bricks. Nor is it important what you paid for it or even if you could afford it in the first place. The Feds are going to save your little wiggly butts from the Big Bad Wolf.

And who do you think is going to pay for all of it?

Everyone else.

Just a quick correction if I may...It was actually Clinton who loosened the home lending rules in the mid-90s to allow Fannie and Freddie to authorize these risky loans and it was actually a REPUBLICAN congress and (shocking) GEORGE W BUSH who tried repeatedly to tighten these rules but were blocked EVERY TIME by a DEMOCRATIC congress...blocked because these Dems were exactly the people (think Barney Frank here- who refused the Bush administration's requests to setup a regulatory agency) profiting off the loans through kickbacks (of which OBAMA received the second highest amounts from, oh, and now employs the ex-CEO of Freddy as his cheif economic advisor). The REAL fairy tale here is that the American people are set to blame President Bush and McCain for a crisis they tried to prevent while shifting to approve Obama
who actually aided in causing it. And lets not get the fairy tale ending wrong...it won't be 'everyone else' who pays for it, it will be the hardworking men and women of this great nation making between 80k and 200k who will be forced to bail everyone out. Hmmm, I think that includes YOU Ted! Whew, there I said my peace...

gee I just love a good debate! way to go Brooke! I guess ole granny was right....if you don't have the $$$ to pay for it you didn't need it to begin with....tis how I go about my life! Thanks granny for the wonderful wisdom and the instruction on how to use my head for something besides a hat rack! It was also granny that told me that if I vote someone into office and they did things that I didn't particularly care for and weren't Godly then don't vote them or anyone like them back in.....yep ole Obama doesn't have my vote either!!! Go McCain!
